We just nipped in for a breakfast, and it was great! It looks quite small from the front but there is a nice large restaurant out back. Plenty of gluten free and veggies options, friendly and helpful waitstaff, and all freshly made. gF cakes for lunches looked nice too.

I stayed 2 nights on the top floor in the 4 roomed apartment which consists of two very spacious bedrooms, a double bed in one and 3 single beds in the other. There are two flights of stairs involved . Then there's the bathroom with full size bath with a very good shower over it, and finally the TV lounge with a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave at one end. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. I had dinner there one evening with a lovely pate starter and a gridiron steak for mains. Both very good. With reasonable prices and really excellent staff I'd be very happy to return.

The food here is delicious, never disappoints, and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend the Crown to anyone looking for the best food on the High Street.

Great location, on the main street with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby, Lovely room, very clean and cosy, with no noise from nearby rooms, or from chambermaids in the morning. The staff is amazing, very helpful and always at hand for whatever you need, We had our meals in the hotel, and we weren't disappointed, great food and good value for money, the bar is great, full of locals and a great vibe, very lively makes a wonderful atmosphere, a final remark to our stay was the breakfast, as the first meal of the day is so important, we weren't let down, an amazing choice and very good quality, will be back with no hesitations and we highly recommend it for any visitors to the lovely town of Peebles :-) Another visit to the restaurant, and yet again an amazing place, great food great staff, will be back ♥️

Booked through booking.com the day before the stay, sent my estimated arrival time to the Crown & received confirmation.||On arrival there was no reception you have to check in at the busy bar. They couldn't find the reservation in the book …

Only here for a meal so can't comment on the rooms. Food was excellent and staff were very good too. No complaints. The fish and chips were brilliant and a large portion too

Stopped in with Friends on way back from concert, quickly seated without reservation. Excellent food and service in a relaxed atmosphere. Well done. Would recommend.

Everyone I encountered was absolutely lovely. The room was good, and the shower had a strong stream as well. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The pub seemed great as well, but I didn't have time to sample it myself. Would absolutely recommend!
